The 12th Cast Metals Industry Dinner was held at the Manor Hotel Meriden and the sell-out event was a resounding success, the room was filled with 160 of the heads of the UK cast metals industry, coming together to celebrate the best of British casting.

The Component of the Year Award went to Grainger & Worrall Ltd for their engine block development for the Ford US pickup truck.

The Company Achievement Award went to Thomas Dudley Ltd for their success in turning round the company, investing for success and considerable educational and development activity.

And finally, Blayson were delighted to accept the 2014 CMF Innovation Award, for which Blayson were selected in recognition of the company’s research and development work carried out into new investment casting wax materials with greatly reduced thermal hysteresis. Phil Hancock and Matthew Williams of Blayson accepted the award on behalf of all the Blayson team.
