The 31^st EICF International Conference & Exhibition took place in Santander, Spain from 15-18 May 2022 and was a great success. During the plenary session at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos de Santander, the presentation for the EICF Lifetime Achievement Award took place. Blayson are pleased to announce that this prestigious accolade was awarded to Ron Williams, Chairman of The Blayson Group, for his dedication to both the EICF and the Investment Casting Industry as a whole.

Stephen Pilbury of Remet, who presented the Award, gave a very complimentary speech about Ron and his career. “Ron’s vision has led to the development of a global business – he was the first to develop a manufacturing business in Japan to serve the Asian investment casting market, a difficult task to do and be accepted. His enthusiasm for the industry and people skills have led to a loyal group of staff members, a strong supply chain and distribution network supporting his customer base. Ron has been generous in giving back time, advice and knowledge to the industry joining many trade associations and participating in these at the highest levels around the globe.”

Although Ron couldn’t be in attendance for the conference, Keith Batchelor, Operations Director, kindly accepted the Award on his behalf. Ron said it was an honour and privilege to receive the Award and to be recognised by his peers within the industry.
